Garlic also strengthens the immune system and it acts as an antibiotic capable of fighting infections. It further helps to destroy harmful bacteria and its anti-inflammatory effect helps to reduce elevated blood pressure.

Alfalfa seeds

The saponin content in alfalfa is proven to stop the cholesterol absorption. Alfalfa's chemicals and the fiber bonds to the cholesterol, and thus avoids depositing the cholesterol in to the blood vessels. Our body consists of good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. Studies have shown that green tea has the capability to increase the good cholesterol, and to lower the bad cholesterol levels. A powerful antioxidant, green tea has the potential to prevent heart diseases in the process.

Red Yeast Rice

Monacolin K, which is a component in red yeast rice is learned to inhibit the cholesterol production. The cholesterol producing action of an enzyme is brought to a halt by monacolin K. Studies have further shown that red yeast rice significantly increases the good cholesterol and decreases bad cholesterol.

Psyllium

The soluble seeds of Psyllium are rich in mucilage and fiber. This property of Psyllium aids to swell the seeds when water is combined with it. This forms a jellylike mass in nature, which will be effective as an intestinal cleanser. By this process, psyllium cleanses the cholesterol off the intestinal tracts.

Capsicum Fruit

Scientific studies show that capsicum can lower high cholesterol as well as high blood pressure. The stimulating property of capsicum helps to increase the blood flow. This action will avoid the sluggish blood circulation which normally accumulates toxins.

Artichoke Leaf
